Thanks so much, Stephanie! So glad to know I am not alone. And yes, trusting the process and having faith is so important. I think we will both reach that point very soon :) so great to be aware!

Xoxo

I definitley know how you feel! I don't want to be to restrictive, and I want to make SURE my body gets enough calories to fuel my very active lifestyle, BUT I also have a sensitive stomach and I'm trying to learn what my body reacts well and not well to. It's hard but just trust the processs and have faith!

Jordan!! I am so thrilled to hear that the 80/10/10 diet is working for you so well. I think that if you've found something that works for you, there's no point in trying to change that! You know what works for your body, and no nutritionist can give you more expertise than that. If any of the great feeling from 80/10/10 starts wearing off then I would definitely recommend seeing someone-- some unbiased outside advice can work wonders!! And so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who eats when I'm not hungry :) keep me posted on you 80/10/10 journey!

Hey Jordan!

I've been contemplating seeing a nutritionist, too! (Mostly because my Mom and BF are sick of me complaining) but I've been kind of hesitant because I started doing the 80/10/10 diet a month ago ( I feel amazing!) and I don't want to hear the nutritionist say it's not good for me because it's so unconventional and nothing like a standard diet. Also, Im feeling so much better so it would be a downer hearing that. I'm still debating what I should do!

I also completely related to you eating when you're not hungry! I do that ALLLL the time because I'm so worried that I'm not getting enough calories and then will pay for it later. It's a prob.

Loved this post! Thanks for being so open :)

Hey Lila! Ah it sounds like we are two peas in a pod. So awesome that you are training for a half marathon in April as well! And I know, in the past I've found I can go a few days without snacking as well and then I cave, but staying strong with it is all about mind over matter. Don't let yourself cave, because you know how crappy you will feel when you do. When you want to have a snack and you're not really hungry, think "is this worth it?" And if it is, eat it (but just a little!) and if not, put it down and wait until your next meal. It's definitely difficult but so very worth it in the end. I am so glad that you're loving the blog and that it has inspired you to begin your own!! Very exciting. Love having you reading!
I really enjoy your blog! It has actually helped to inspire my recent adventure in food blogging. I just read this post and can 100% relate! I have a very sensitive stomach as well, and although ridding my diet of gluten has somewhat helped, I still struggle daily with those uncomfortable symptoms I'm sure you're familiar with. I have found that listening to my body, and only eating when I'm hungry, has helped, but I'm such a snacker! I snack when I feel like I should (I'm also training for a half marathon in April!!) or when I'm tempted (which happens easily), mostly when I'm not even hungry. How do you plan on avoiding snacking? I find I can go a few days doing so, and then I inevitably cave.
Thanks again for all your helpful posts! It's been great to find someone so inspiring that I can relate to :)

Oh wow - those are some major food allergies. I'm sorry to hear that! I feel you on that though. I have many food intolerances and allergies and it's not fun. The only upside about it is that you have to learn to listen to your body so much more than the average person, and in the long run that will serve you very well. And I know, the part about the decomposition in the stomach terrified me!! But it makes so much sense as to why we feel like crap when we eat too much or when we eat before we are supposed to. Thanks for the kind words, and I wish you lots of luck with your sensitive tummy!!

Ahh yes, I've heard of FODMAPs. Someone recommended it to me recently too, and the gut cleansing aspect is intriguing but it is virtually impossible on a vegan diet. True about the routine life and exercise -- but I bet you knew that before seeing the nutritionist ;) !! Yoga is totally amazing with digestion. I think I'd die without it, haha! Thank you so much for the positivity and the kind words. I hope you keep feeling better too. We've got this, I truly believe listening to our bodies and nourishing ourselves with whole, plant-based foods (at the right time, of course!) will do the trick. Xo!
