As a woman that will always have a battle with anorexia, as Paul says it never goes away, I have to say to him congratulations!!! I know how hard it is to break this cycle, hech this battle, that will always be with you no matter how hard you try it doesn’t fade. However, if about choosing the right things for one self. I now know that is about being healthy not skinny. My weight can’t tell my worth, and food is essential to enjoy life. I love food and I look forward to it every single day. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, the right food for our bodies! I’m proud of Paul because he is kicking ana’s ass 😉

It definitely is very scary to put your struggles and difficulties/fears out in the open for the world to see, but you're right about how FREEING it is as well. And very true that anorexia (or any type of eating disorder or body image issue for that matter) can affect anyone, and it's so important for those stories to be heard. Sending you so much love! I recently shared some personal words on my blog about my eating disorder history. It was scary to be so open to the public about my struggles, especially because I admitted that I still have so many issues, but it’s very freeing! It makes me so happy to see others doing the same thing–sharing themselves instead of hiding. I applaud Paul for being open about his male anorexia. It’s not something commonly discussed in society. And I applaud you for featuring him! It just goes to show that anorexia doesn’t only affect those whom society most expects it to–teenage girls with body issues. It can affect ANYBODY. Thank you for this post! And thank you Paul! 🙂

This story is very inspiring and eye opening. I have written to you before about how I struggle with body image issues and various EDs. Though I feel like I have come a long way in the last few years I still struggle daily. Please thank your friend for acknowledging that anorexia does not vanish. I am happy to hear that his story has a happy ending… I am working hard to get there with mine!
