Yep, it's allll about balance!! Thank you so much, my dear!! How funny that you say that, because I am transitioning into The Balanced Blonde (have already changed my name on most of my social media channels), so you and I must be on the same wavelength!! I love it. So appreciate your support. Xox

Thanks for this stellar post! I 've done TONS of research on lifestyle diets in the past couple of years, and have come to the same conclusion as you - It's all about balance and listening to your body. Our bodies aren't all the same, and it's okay to not fit into a label. I really think everything in life comes down to balance, so I think including that in your blog name would be cool! Like the Balanced Blonde or something :)

Rose, thank you so much for such an awesome comment!! I so appreciate it. I love The Whole Blonde!! I am definitely open to stepping away from the TBV initials. It will be hard for me, but it will also be worth it when I decide on a name that I am totally wild about!! Sending you so much love. Xox

Wow, Kara, thank you so much. I really appreciate your comment and very much commend you for trying to diet again in a more balanced way. That's definitely something I have thought about doing in the future, but will have to be very careful about the logistics if I ever do. And yes, the backlash from the 80/10/10 community, and especially some of the leaders in that community, has been extremely disappointing. It really speaks to their own insecurity and unhappiness. We are all different! Thanks so much for your support. Xox

I completely understand this. Two years ago during my Junior year of high school I went vegan during the summer and responded to the diet much like you have and slowly transitioned away with it using minimally processes/organic/free range protein. Now after recovering from my eating disorder I decided to try the diet again in a more balanced way and feel so much better without any vitamin deficiencies. I am disappointed with all of the backlash from the 80/10/10 community (I am a fruitarian myself), because each person is different and what works dietary wise is unique to every individual.

Hey there!
I follow you on instagram, and just had to read your blog when I saw your last few posts. I want to say that saying so much publicly is huge, and I think you wrote about it beautifully! I, like you, believe everyone has there own personal needs (diet/otherwise) and you should do what suits you best :)
I thought about going vegan, but greek yogurt is a huge part of my diet. I occasionally eat eggs, chicken and even less tuna sashimi. Like you, buying local, cage-free, organic, humanely treated, etc, is really important to me, and I find I feel my best with a little more protein from these sources versus primarily plant based. So, our diets are now very similar :)
After reading your story, I will be following your blog a bit more closely now :) I wish you the best of luck to achieve your balance, and hope the negativity decreases!

Hi Jordan,

When I started following your blog it really helped keep me motivated to stick to the Whole Foods diet I had begun. I was never and am not now a vegan or even a vegetarian. Your blog was so inspiring to me because of the constant message of listening to your own body and doing what feels good for you. You wove that message into just about every one of your posts.

That's why these negative responses left me scratching my head. I'm not sure why there are followers who are upset that you are practicing exactly what you have been preaching on your blog. Perhaps they should go back and reread your posts with an open mind instead of through the filter of their preconceived notions of who they wanted you to be. As for me, I love the real Jordan and I'm so happy (but not the least bit surprised) that you are staying true to who you are and have always been. Nothing that really matters has changed as far as I can see.

I'm excited to see what you come up with for a new name and I for one will be thrilled if you decide to add some healthy recipes that aren't strictly vegan . Either way I've had fun putting my own twist on your JOY's and will continue to be inspired.

Keep being fabulous!

I have so much respect for you being 100% honest and putting yourself out there.
It shows great courage and what matters in the end is your happiness and your health!
It's sad that people force their diets upon others. Follow your heart!
You are a beautiful person inside and out and I wish nothing but happiness and good health to you.
