Hi Lindsey! Thanks so much for your honesty. I did go a little “brand happy” there for a while but I recognized it myself and for the last 2-3 months have really changed things up. Now if you search through my Instagram and blog you will see 95% real in-the-moment posts, and about 5% branded content but only brands that I truly love. I did promote a few random brands in the past, but I am passionate about only promoting brands that I legitimately love and use at this point. And I would never call the previous brands 100% random, because they were all health/fitness oriented and some people love hearing about them!! Finding my balance and it’s been a pretty awesome journey. 🙂 Xo

Love the bridge job idea!! Fortunately I’m at a point in my blogging journey where it isn’t stressful to make ends meet — the stressful thing is turning away so many brands!! My bridge job was freelance for a long time. 🙂 I love hearing that though!!

Hey girl! The answer to your question is that I don’t really agree to exclusivity contracts with brands unless they are willing to pay what I would be making from working with several brands. In real life I don’t stick to one activewear company, so on the blog I reflect that honesty!! Sometimes a specific niche brand will have a 4-6 week exclusivity contract, but I usually choose not to work with them because they don’t understand my business model. 🙂

I used to read your blog regularly but now very rarely check in because of all the sponsored posts! It feels like every post (or every other) was some random brand.
