Shanai St Bernard, I couldn't agree with you more. And now it seem like 95% of the bloggers out there have money to burn on expensive vacations, clothing, husband, kids, decorating and so on.

Hi Jordan, I totally understand what you are saying. I myself have just started out blogging a few months ago and you reach a point where you think should I share the real photo or do they want the edited, staged, perfect lighting picture. I have to say that what you said here spoke to me on so many levels. You are so inspiring and love the way your blog flow is. You have that reality of this is me, this is my life and it´s not perfect. I seriously connect with your authenticity. Thanks again for all your post!

I've always been a health and fitness blogger at heart, so all I love talking about is mostly food, working out, and living the healthiest life possible! I totally agree that you have to be consistent, but you also have to find that point where you really love your work, so much that you don't see it like work. If you want to bring in something new, you have to find an outlet where it fits well. For instance, if you have a yoga blog but you want to talk about body image, then you can certainly talk about how yoga releases the stress that you impose on your physical image! :)

Yes!! I totally will and if you're ever in San Francisco definitely let me know! I started my blog in December so I'm relatively new to it, but one of my favorite parts has been connecting with other bloggers in the community. It really is such an amazing network of sweet and supportive people. Also, happy late birthday to Huddy! I loved that post and it inspired me to write one about my cat, Honey's, adoption story for her birthday at the end of the month. Oh and I can't seem to remember which podcast it was, but will definitely let you know if I find it! xoxo

Hi Jordan! So, this really resonated with me. I've only been blogging seriously for about 2.5 years, but you've been a huge inspiration to me throughout the entire thing. Why? Because you keep it real. Your openness about switching from vegan to a more balanced lifestyle gave thousands of struggling, unhealthy humans a reality check.

I sometimes struggle with trying to keep the flow of my gallery looking clean and consistent, but also wanting to share more in-the-moment, real time photos. I don't carry around my big camera 24-7! I connect to your authenticity, and I think that's what majority of your followers connect with as well. At the end of the day, whether you gain or lose followers, the people who stick around throughout the years are the ones you continue to inspire. Keep it going girl! I preordered your book last month, and I can't wait to read! I'd love to do a Q&A with you on my blog if you're interested. I'd be so honored. <3 x jules@omandthecityblog.com / omandthecityblog.com / @omandthecity

Holly, that means so much to me! I am so glad to know that my inner dilemma isn't totally obvious to the world :) but now you know, hehe. Raw & fun versus curated is GREAT -- I love hearing that. Inspiring to hear what all of you have had to say, because there are more of us out there who like the un-curated, real, raw life the best!! <3

I am so glad to hear I am not alone!! I think a mix of personal + curation is the absolute best. And also, I do find it nice to split up my personal account and my TBB account (although TBB has become so highly personal too!). And LOVE that you are following along on Snapchat... I love sharing my life that way with you guys!! Sometimes it feels so much more authentic and easy. Everyday life is the best. <3 also, LOVE your blog name. Blondes unite!!

I totally want to quote you now because Instagram is totally INSTAAAA-gram, not "super edited crazy professional later-gram" -- you've got that right, girl. Caitlin, thank you so much!!! I love hearing all of this. TRUTH that the real followers will stick around regardless!! It's about the creativity, but it's also about the message behind it. SO important. And yes good for you for remembering that your photo story is YOURS and shouldn't look like anyone else's. It's you and that is what makes it so great <3 <3 xo xo beauty

I love this post, and I love to know I'm not the only one in this boat! I definitely feel like my own feed is so much less polished and less cohesive-color-story than other bloggers', but when I start to obsess about it too much, I just stop and tell myself it's my feed and my photo story. It won't ever look like someone else's, because it conveys me and my brand! However, I do love to blame my phone's awful low-light camera function for my crappier photos. :) But I end up posting them sometimes anyway!

I do very much love your styled photos, but I think that bit of messy realness helps us to realize that life is not all styled perfection! To me, it's a nice balance to strike, especially when feeds can be criticized for being too "arranged" or whatever. But again, I think what's best is when you post what makes you happy! Your real followers will stick around for that. :)
