It’s the end of my first college quarter and I’m still in the process of finding more friends in my tribe! I’m usually an independent person but it can be difficult when it gets lonely.

Seriously I feel like you totally just said everything I am feeling. I constantly feel the same way, I have my ride or dies but most of them are not into the healthy eating, running, wholesome live I’ve sorta jumped into. Your feelings when finishing college! SO me. I LOVE this post. These tips come at a time when I’m at a new stage in life (freshman year of college eeek!!!) and looking for a lil’ tribe of my own!
Thank you so much for the reminder that I don’t have to say yes to things I don’t want to. My bff just asked me to go out with her tonight, but I’d rather stay in so guess what I’m going to do? Stay in for some ME time!
The tips about putting yourself out there and making an effort are so true. I’m trying to meet people by just going and sitting next to friendly looking faces in the dining hall. It’s scary, but I’ve met some cool people by doing it (like an opera singer and a girl who is running a half marathon in a few weeks!). Also, I met some fellow teen food bloggers on Instagram and we’ve met up in real life because none of us were afraid to say no! I actually did a blog post collaboration with one of them. 🙂
