I think we also work really hard not to give our readers the wrong impression.

I don’t live a perfectly balanced life — that’s the fun of being a human. I strive for it every day and that STRIVING is what I choose to share. https://thephysioclub.com/physiotherapy/physiotherapy

As a new blogger, this post is awesome. The obsession and pressure aspect of health on social media has been a big part of what was holding me back, but I have been having so much fun since I decided to just start writing my thoughts and experiences anyways. I personally have struggled with Anxiety and for me wellness was a way to bring my life to a normal happy level. I've found that the blogs I love the most are the ones that make being healthy look fun, easy, and attainable- not strict and intimidating. Being healthy is actually kinda hard with all the packaged food around! So I love the happy helpful tips from bloggers, otherwise I would be totally clueless and anxious. :)

Great post- coincidently I've echoed many of the same thoughts recently. Sometimes when you read Facebook groups or forums from health professionals you would think the problems are about their clients. Unfortunately It's all too common that it's about themselves. That "fine line" you mention sometimes looks like moving goal posts.

I completely understand the difference between the two. As someone who has also gone through periods of extreme crazy health obsession, I've been able to over come that and learned to listen to my body. I think it's important to follow a wide range of wellness bloggers, not just 1 or 2 people, so that you can see that health isn't a one size fits all thing. I prefer to take little tips from each person and skip the ones that don't work for me and my body.

Oh wow I loved this post. I've been a health coach for the past 2 years and done my own blogging... and I recently had a reader ask me the same thing! I was actually grateful for her question because I WAS going though a stressful time and realized that I did need to back off on exercise and obsessing over my macros for a bit. I think it's easy to get overly consumed and obsessed with ANYTHING, and having a good handle on what you need is so important. And what your triggers are! But yes, I'm definitely with you and believe that passion for health doesn't mean you have a problem... until you do haha.

This comparison is something I've been meditating on and pondering recently. It's gotten to the point where I can't read many MindBodyGreen articles because it's just "10 Things To Do For Your Health + This Is The Only Way You Can Be Healthy". It's really about what makes YOUR body feel good. You're so right about balance. Balance is so key and that doesn't mean fast food is on one end of that spectrum. Thank you for writing on this topic. It's so so crucial to have these discussions. We're questioning what our society considers "healthy", but we need to remember to also question our own ways of health and wellness.

Morgan, YES!! I know exactly what you mean. I listen to some podcasts I have been disappointed by lately too for that very reason (probably the same ones as you!!! Or maybe not, depending on how many people are taking this outlook!). I think living a life rooted in wellness (extreme or not extreme) is a beautiful thing if someone feels balanced and happy. So glad we are on the same page with this sister!!! Sending you so much love and so glad to have you here!!!!
