Damn I really resonate with this, pretty sure I have all those allergies too. Low key afraid to eat because I alway instantly feel so awful. Did you do a food sensitivity panel to figure all that out?

This is so interesting! I am really wanting to try the SOS lifestyle because I have a ton of food allergies and gut issues and this is a good "catch all" healthy lifestyle for a lot of different kinds of diets. Can the SOS diet contain meat as well? For years I was afraid of eating also because I would always be so sick after meals and also look 9 mos. pregnant! I am allergic to gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, oats, sesame, garlic, peanut, chocolate and garbanzo beans. I have had success on raw vegan and whole food auto-immune paleo because both of those diets naturally eliminate many of my allergy foods. My question is: (perhaps I will read further through your blog for answers): who is your doctor? I found functional medicine to be very expensive, but initially found answers there! I ended up here after the holiday season, it is so hard when not preparing ALL your own food!

I am so glad I found this article. I think the universe sent this to me as silly as that sounds. I have had Lyme and Mold illness for over 12 years...I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 23 but I still can’t find anyone who can help me all the way—a little here and a little there. Diet wise I’m struggling. I also have Celiac and early stages of Crohn's and that Makes it harder—-do you This this diet it doable without the seeds and beans and nuts and maybe just the nut butters? I want to maintain a nutritional lifestyle but also have to be careful with Crohns...and how do you know what to eat?

Thank you for sharing! And special thanks for mentioning the piece about having an eating disorder and using discernment. Not many people mention this with healing diets and I feel freedom with food is so important and can co-exist on a journal back to vibrant health. Sending love.

Thanks so much for this informative post! I am also going to go back and read your "journey" post. Interesting: when I first read your description of SOS-free, all I could think was, "Wow, this would be a great 'diet' for someone in recovery from an eating disorder, as it automatically eliminates foods associated with cravings and a "relationship" that people develop that can make it addictive, as it were. I think that my reaction is based in working in substance abuse and also tending to view eating disorders as having an addiction element and therefore being, for some, well managed through elimination of 'trigger foods' which are usually refined flour and sugar. I do agree that it is important to enjoy eating, and perhaps, for some, restriction on any level can be unhealthy. Most of all, I like your comment that this diet/lifestyle helps one to achieve their ideal weight, because I feel like we live in a society that sends so many mixed messages about what we "should" weigh. Thanks for reading all this!!
