She seems like a very nice person but wow what an ego. She’s passionate. She’s so passionate! She constantly compliments herself while coming off as a nice person. She probably is nice. But what an ego. There is no way she eats 3000 plus calories or ever did. Running wouldn’t support it unless she ran really fast. So I think it’s helpful not to lie bc it makes trolls more trolley. You have an average metabolism like everyone else. There’s no high metabolism unless you’re a body builder who built one. Sorry but you lose sympathy. She’s a gorgeous girl. I find the recipes very repetitive and really high in fat. It’s ok with nuts in moderation but not coconuts. I like the blog a lot. I just don’t like the constant self compliments and baloney about her eating. I don’t know if she’s anorexic and don’t care. Running bc you have to to keep weight off is in an anorexia category. She looks very thin but def not unhealthy in any photos.

Wow, what an inspiring post. As someone who has run 6-10 miles every day for the past 6 years, I can completely relate to Katie’s story. Every day, running becomes more of a burden--but also increasingly necessary. I’ve become “Hannah the runner” to everyone I know, and abandoning something that has grown to be such a seemingly integral part of my character is unnerving. Thank you for showing me that there’s a way out. And to those who would love to “be the ‘victim’ of a fast metabolism,” if only physical insecurities worked that way. Being thin can be just as big an anxiety as anything else, if you let it be.

Inspiring post! I went through a huge time period of restriction where I thought I had to count calories, healthy carbs, fruits and fats were demonic and I had to exercise 24/7. It made me realize that dieting is not beautiful--health is :)

If Katie was truly anorexic she would have already died from running that much and not eating. Being bulimic probably saved her life. I hope she and anyone else who does this gets a bone density test stat.

Honestly..... overexercising is part of bulimia ..... so Katie probably isn't/wasn't anorexic. It is bulimic to purge calories with vomiting or overexercising. And a 3,000 calorie diet is overeating for any woman. Therefore . . . the incessant running leads me to believe she suffered from bulimia nervosa in which she ate a lot and then compensated with damagingly intense workouts. She would be anorexic if she never ate and then went running. Most people with eating disorders are in denial/don't truly want to die from their disorder, so yeah, definitely "chocolatecoveredkatie bulimic" is more accurate. Just shows that people really don't have good awareness about the nuances of eating disorders. Yes, I am a recovered bulimic, so I sniffed this one out from miles away.

Hey Angela! I'm actually trying to conceive and am having trouble because of my workout regimen. Did you completely stop all exercise ? Did you lower your intake/ calories since you weren't exercising anymore? Also, did you gain weight in that time? Will really appreciate Any info you can give me!

This is such a great glimpse into Katie! I feel like she does hold back as a little on her blog to be politically correct and open to everyone so it was so nice to see a different side of her :)

This is a great article I read on overexercising. I could totally relate. Maybe someone else will find it helpful, as the blogger is actually a humor blogger who also found it hard to talk about these things on her blog.

Ahhh CCK, my favorite blog! Seriously, she makes so much money off of me. The hits I give her daily....

I never suspected her of having an over-excercising issue until she wrote a post about "running on vacation", and another about how to get your butt out there and run on a miserable day. And when she went for a run on Christmas morning, that sealed the deal! But it was never my place to point it out. It's not MY body or MY life, so why would I call her out for that?

It makes me so glad that she overcame adversity and now has the curvaceous and voluptuous she (and for my own body, personally) so desired! It always cracks me up how people now call her "fat". They're obviously so insecure about their own body that they want to put down someone else; someone who is SO FAR from and will could NEVER be classified as even at risk for being overweight! HA! These people. Good humor.
