I recently came in contact with Natural Calm, a Canada based Magnesium Health Supplement supplier. Their products are really of good quality and are available at a reasonable cost. We all know that how essential is Magnesium for our human health, so in that case, Natural Calm has solved many of my health related questions. Really thanks to them for their awesome products.

In reply to Alice @ Honestly Fitness.

To the poster Alice (above), I do not agree. I was diagnosed to be extremely deficient in vitamin D which is very dangerous. What took weeks of taking mega doses of vitamin D would have taken months (a year?) if I had just counted on food to improve my levels to what I would need to be in the "normal" range (which after 3 months I am still not). I am (was) also anemic and had to take large doses of iron to get to acceptable levels. I realize many people take supplements just because, but for someone like me, they help tremendously.

I love green smoothies! Are you missing the "green" in your ingredient list? TBB is a great blog!!

I personally do not think supplements are necessary. I think that if someone is deficient in something, then they are a great option for doctors to prescribe and include in someone's diet until they can regain normal levels through eating the right foods. I just think that a lot of people use them for the wrong reasons and do not put in the proper research to see if they truly need to take a supplement or not.
I use protein powder on occasion but honestly because I love the convenience of it and can get lazy in the mornings and don't want to cook eggs/just want something chocolate-y/vanilla-y tasting haha. I also hopped on the magnesium train but honestly found they did nothing for me. Guess I am getting enough of it from the foods I normally eat!
And I DO like green smoothies a lot!! Love that I can get my greens and fruits in all at once with one yummy drink.
